As technology moves the world forward, it is people who tend to benefit first. It doesn't have to stop there. Animals can share in that progress too.
ANML KNDM began with a number we couldn't shake. We realized that 80% of charities are all for pets. We love our pets. The dog asleep by the door, the cat watching from the windowsill: they've earned every bit of it. But out past the garden fence, in forests and grasslands, along rivers and coasts and far out at sea, other animals are losing the places they live. Who is out there loving them?
So we started this brand as a first step toward helping all animals alike, beginning with the ones that are seen least and helped least. The quiet ones at the edge of the frame, the ones most people never think to look for.
The Founders Pack will help us build our company, reach a wider audience and bring more help to more animals.
From lions and elephants to orcas and penguins, every one of them still has a home. Drawn to scale, those homes are a small slice of the map.
Each shape is drawn to the area where the animal still lives. Land animals are measured against the world's land and sea animals against the world's ocean, Antarctica left out. Orcas and sperm whales swim in every ocean, so the map shows the groups in trouble: the Southern Resident orcas and the Mediterranean sperm whales.
A ring marks a range too small to see at this scale.
of the world's land is where lions still live.
Sub-Saharan Africa, plus a small population in Gir Forest, India.
Shapes are simplified and drawn to published range or habitat areas. The orca and right whale shapes are designated critical habitat. The sperm whale shape is the whole Mediterranean Sea, so it overstates where those whales actually are. Shares are of about 361.9 million km² of ocean and about 134.7 million km² of land, and are approximate. Land outlines: Natural Earth (public domain).
In 2025, Americans spent $158 billion on their pets, on food, vet visits, toys and more. All the giving to animal and nature charities put together came to $24.6 billion, and that includes pet shelters.
Wild animals have nobody at home looking out for them. They depend on people who will never meet them.

Cities, farms, mines and roads keep growing. A UN report found that people have changed about three-quarters of the world's land and two-thirds of its oceans, and about one million kinds of animals and plants now face extinction.
WWF and the Zoological Society of London follow wild animals around the world. Their 2024 report, covering nearly 35,000 animal groups, found the average one has shrunk by 73% since 1970. Habitat loss is the leading cause.
Average size of the wild animal groups scientists track, with 1970 set to 100. Each point is one edition of the WWF report.
Source: WWF and ZSL Living Planet Reports, 2014 to 2024. This is the average change in group size, not the share of animals lost. Each edition updates the data and methods, so read it as a direction, not one continuous measurement.
Fire, land clearing and plastic don't wait. These counters run at the latest published annual rates, so you can watch the pace.
Modeled estimates, not live measurements
Each figure takes the most recent published annual total and spreads it evenly across the year. Real losses come in bursts, especially with fire, so treat these as a sense of scale. Sources are listed below.
