Who we are

ANML KNDM (“we”, “us”) sells apparel and collectibles online to customers in the United States and Europe. For any question about this policy or your information, write to lion@anmlkndm.com.

What we collect

• Messages you send us. If you use the contact form, your email app sends us your name, email address and message.
• Order information. When you buy, our checkout and payment provider, Shopify, collects your name, email, shipping address, hoodie size and payment details. We receive the order details we need to fulfil it. We never see or store your full card number.
• Support payments. If you give through one of our “Back the company's growth” links, Stripe collects your payment details, name and billing details on its own page. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe tells us the first word of your name (or that none was given), the amount and the time.
• Technical data. Our hosting and checkout providers may log basic technical data, such as IP address and device information, to keep the site working and secure.

How we use it

• To process, ship and support your order.
• To reply to your messages and to send free items to people who tell us about helping an animal.
• To record the donation we make in your name, and to send your Supporting Founder certificate.
• To show a thank-you on our Home page and count our Supporting Founders. For a Founders Pack order or a support payment we keep only your first name (the first word of the name you gave, or “Hero” if there is none) and the time, and we show it publicly in the thank-you list: “Thank you for being a supporting founder” or “Thank you for your support and generosity”, followed by that first name. We never show a surname, email, address or amount. If you'd rather not appear, or want your name changed to “Hero”, write to us and we'll do it promptly.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting duties, and to prevent fraud.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers who help us run the store (payment, checkout, shipping carriers, email and hosting, including Shopify, Stripe and Netlify, which also stores the thank-you list), with the charity as needed to record a donation in your name, and when the law requires it. We do not sell or share your personal information for advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of, and we honor Global Privacy Control signals.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies, and it has no analytics, advertising or tracking tools, so there is no cookie banner. It saves one small note in your browser's own storage, only to make the site behave the way you expect: that you have already seen the opening screen (so it doesn't play every visit). It never leaves your device and you can clear it at any time in your browser settings. Checkout and payment pages (Shopify and Stripe) are run by those companies and may set their own cookies, which they explain in their own policies. On the News page, article pictures are loaded straight from the publishers (Mongabay, The Guardian and BBC), so their servers can see your IP address when those pictures load; we ask your browser not to tell them which page you came from. If we ever add analytics or advertising tools, we'll ask for your consent first and update this policy.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as needed for your order, returns, and legal, tax and accounting obligations. Messages are kept for as long as needed to help you. A first name in the thank-you list stays for as long as the list is shown, or until you ask us to remove it.

Why we use it (EU and UK)

To fulfil your order and answer you, we rely on our contract with you. To show a first name in the thank-you list and to keep the site secure, we rely on our legitimate interests, and you can object at any time. To meet tax and accounting rules, we rely on legal obligation.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the EU and UK GDPR and US state laws such as California's, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain uses, and to withdraw consent. To use any of these rights, write to lion@anmlkndm.com. We'll respond within the time the law requires. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

International transfers

Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Children

Our products and this site are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Security

We use reputable providers and reasonable safeguards, but no system is completely secure.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here and update the date above.
